Dear Wayne County Residents,
In case we have not met, my name is Joe Richert. I am a small business owner running for County Commissioner in District 11. Wayne County is where I grew up, and I never left. My wife and I raised our family here. Our family business is here. Additionally, I have served in several public roles here in Wayne County.
Longtime County Commissioner, Al Haidous, is not running for re-election. He has done an excellent job as our Commissioner. I plan to continue the work that he has done for the residents and small businesses in the district.
As a seasoned small business owner, I have honed my skills in financial management, meeting deadlines, collaborating with others, and strategic planning. These are all crucial aspects of the Commissioner's role, and I am well-equipped to carry out these responsibilities effectively.
I am a strong believer in service to the community. I am a former School Board Trustee, Planning Commission Member, and Zoning Board of Appeals Member. In addition, I've dedicated much of my adult life to the care and advocacy for those with brain injuries.
Thank you for allowing me, my family, and my business to be part of this beautiful community.
Sincerely,
Joe Richert
Small Business Owner, Candidate for County Commissioner, District 11
